Q27. Based on the restriction digestion fragments, draw the restriction map indicating positions of P and Q cut sites and fragment lengths between sites.
Linear map (21 kbp): 0:[P at 9]:[Q at 10.4]:[Q at 14.6]:[P at 17.6]:21. Fragments between sites: 9, 1.4, 4.2, 3.0, 3.4 kbp. The double digestion fragments (9, 1.4, 4.2, 3.0, 3.4) confirm the ordering of cut sites.: Working from single digests: P cuts at positions 9 and 16.2 (giving 9, 7.2, 4.8). Q cuts at positions 10.4 and 18 (giving 10.4, 7.6, 3). Double digestion confirms the interleaving of P and Q sites on the linear molecule.
